We’re rolling into March with a full heart after an incredible month of events, and we can’t wait to share what’s coming next.

🎭 Mardi Gras Magic at Barrel Proof
In case you missed it, we hosted our first-ever Mardi Gras popup, and WOW! Y’all showed up and showed out! The energy was electric as we transformed the bar into a Bourbon Street-worthy celebration. We had a glitter artist adding sparkle to faces, festive Mardi Gras cocktails, and exclusive "krewe" throws straight from New Orleans parades. We’re already scheming and planning for an even bigger celebration next year!

🐶 Puppies & Cocktails – Wags & Walks Adoption Event
On March 9th, we had the absolute best time partnering with Wags and Walks and George Dickel for an adorable puppy adoption event! With special George Dickel cocktails, giveaways, and plenty of puppy smooches, this was one for the books. We loved seeing some of four-legged friends find their forever homes!
🥃 Celebrating Women in Whiskey
For International Women’s Day, we teamed up with Bourbon Women for a special Happy Hour on March 7th. Bourbon Women is an organization dedicated to bourbon education and appreciation for women, and with their official event at Nelson's Greenbriar on March 8th, we welcomed attendees who wanted to kick off the weekend with three exclusive cocktails at Barrel Proof. Cheers to strong women and strong drinks!
🍀 St. Patrick’s Day + Bushmills VR Experience
It’s St. Patrick’s Day, and we’re ready to party! Our neighbors at Von Elrod’s are hosting their annual Von Patrick’s Day celebration on March 17th, and we’re joining in on the fun. We’ve got something special inside Barrel Proof – Bushmills will be giving out free swag and offering a virtual reality tasting experience with a VR headset. Come by and keep the St. Paddy's party going with us!
🌮 Secret Bodega Returns!
You asked, and we delivered! Secret Bodega is back for another Monday Night Industry Night Takeover! Details are still in the works, but expect their legendary queso birria and G4/paloma mezcal drinks to take over our kitchen for one night only. Stay tuned for the official date!
🏀 March Madness x Fernet x Nashville Bars Bracket!
It’s game time. We’re bringing the excitement of March Madness to Barrel Proof (vs. other bars) with a bracket tournament—Fernet style! We’re on a mission to claim the title of BEST BAR TO DRINK FERNET, and we need your votes!

🍹 Sipping for a Cause – Rally Foundation Charity Event
We were honored to support the Rally Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to childhood cancer research. We created a specialty cocktail just for the occasion and donated 100% of the proceeds to the cause. On top of that, a professional photographer joined us, offering donation-based headshots, giving guests a chance to get a fresh new look while contributing to an incredible mission. A huge thank you to everyone who came out, supported, and made a difference!

Spring means Baseball Season, and we’re ready to cheer on the Nashville Sounds! Keep an eye out for upcoming game day specials and events as we get into the swing of things. We will have a 9-9-9 beer and hot dog special on game days — more details coming soon! Whether you're pregaming or celebrating a big win, Barrel Proof is your spot for baseball and bourbon.
